Pre-Engineered Rigid Frame Steel Building Kits
We supply the rigid frame steel building as a pre-engineered kit of welded H-section primary frames, purlins, roof and wall panels and accessories, with foundation and erection done locally. Span, eave height and crane tonnage depend on the project, and orders start at 3,000 m².
Send the building’s width, length, eave height and site country, and we reply with a free layout, specification and itemized quote for your rigid frame project.

Rigid Frame Structures in a Pre-Engineered Steel Building: What We Supply
Rigid frame structures from Xinguangzheng are supplied as the primary and secondary steel, roof and wall panels and accessories of a pre-engineered building, made in the factory and exported as a kit. We manufacture the primary and secondary structure and the profiled sheet, while foundation and erection are done by the buyer’s local contractor.
Portal steel frame buildings supplied by Xinguangzheng are one part of a pre engineered metal building system, with the surrounding parts listed further down this page. Rigid frame supply is the wrong fit for projects under 3,000 m², or for projects where the supplier must build the foundation and erect the steel on site under a turnkey price. Xinguangzheng’s metal building projects include factories and warehouses in Algeria, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Jamaica and Australia. How a rigid frame carries load is not covered on this page.
Rigid Frame Building Specifications: Span, Eave Height and Frame Steel
Rigid frame building specifications follow the code that applies at your site: loads, spans and coatings are engineered to that code, with a heavier frame and closer purlin spacing in high wind and snow zones. Bay spacing in the table is a project layout value, adjusted to the building rather than fixed.

| Item | Standard | Option or boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Clear span | Single span without interior columns, typically up to 60 m | Up to 100 m engineered per project |
| Eave height | 6–12 m | Higher on request |
| Bay spacing | 6–9 m | Adjusted to the project layout |
| Primary frame | Q355B welded H-section | Q235B or Q460 |
| Secondary framing | Galvanized Z or C purlins | Closer purlin spacing in high wind and snow zones |
| Roof and wall cladding | 0.5 mm profiled steel sheet | EPS, rock wool or PU sandwich panel |
| Corrosion protection | Sa2.5 blast cleaning plus epoxy zinc-rich primer | Hot-dip galvanizing |
Designed for a 50-year service life, with maintenance as set out in the maintenance manual
We manufacture the primary and secondary structure, and the equipment includes laser plate cutting, welding robots and an automatic coating line. A Tekla 3D model of the building is sent to the buyer for confirmation before steel is cut.
Steel Rigid Frame and PEMB Portal Frame: Single Span or Multi-Span
A steel rigid frame in a PEMB portal frame building comes in two layouts: single span with no interior columns, or multi-span with interior columns. Span, eave height, crane tonnage and loads are confirmed per project in the quote.

Single span
No interior columns stand inside the building width, with clear span typically up to 60 m and spans up to 100 m engineered per project.

Multi-span
Interior columns divide the building width into spans, and the buyer states single or multi-span when asking for the quote.
Choose single span when the floor cannot have interior columns and the building width is within the 60 m standard span, or up to 100 m by project engineering. Where interior column lines are acceptable, a multi-span layout is set per project and confirmed in the quote. A steel portal building is priced on span, wind and snow loads, crane tonnage and local code, plus insulation, door and window count and any mezzanine. Crane provision can be set for a 5 t, 10 t or 20 t overhead crane, so list the crane and mezzanine when asking for the quote.
Tell us whether the frame is single or multi-span, the crane tonnage, any mezzanine and the site country, and we put all four into one itemized quote.
Get a Frame Layout QuoteWhat Surrounds a Rigid Frame Steel Building: Insulation, Panels, Roofing and Trim
Around a rigid frame steel building, insulation, wall panels, roofing, trim and the supply scope each have their own page, and the foundation is designed and built by the buyer’s local team. Column base reaction data for that foundation work is provided by Xinguangzheng.
| System | What it covers | Confirm in the quote |
|---|---|---|
![]() | Optional sandwich panels with EPS, rock wool or PU core | Insulation requirement for roof and walls |
![]() | 0.5 mm profiled steel sheet, which Xinguangzheng manufactures | Door and window count |

Rigid Frame Order Questions: Size, Scope, Delivery and Installation
Can a rigid frame steel building be ordered for a project under 3,000 m²?
Projects start at 3,000 m², so a rigid frame steel building under that area is outside the supply. Above it, send the width, length, eave height and site country, and the free quote confirms the layout, specification and itemized price for the kit, with foundation and erection handled locally by the buyer.
What does a rigid frame quote cover, and what is left out?
The quote covers the steel structure, roof and wall panels, gutters and downpipes, bolts and accessories, drawings, installation manual and export packing. Foundation, on-site erection, ocean freight, customs clearance, duties and taxes, insurance, inland transport, permits and site preparation are excluded. Anchor bolt supply is confirmed in the quote.
What clear span can a single-span rigid frame reach?
A single-span rigid frame typically reaches a 60 m clear span with no interior columns, and spans up to 100 m are engineered per project. Eave height runs from 6 to 12 m and can be raised on request. A building wider than the single span in the quote can use a multi-span layout with interior column lines.
What do I need to send to get a rigid frame building quote?
Send the building type and use, width, length and eave height, and the site country and city. Add single or multi-span, crane tonnage, insulation requirement, door and window count, any mezzanine and high wind or snow zone. The reply is a free layout, specification and itemized quote, with the 3D model sent for confirmation before steel is cut.
How long from order to shipment, and how is the steel packed?
Production takes 15–40 days depending on tonnage, confirmed in the quote, and a project typically runs 4–12 weeks overall, from consultation to local installation. Steel is bundled on steel pallets with an export packing and loading plan, shipping from Qingdao port. Sea transit days depend on the destination port and are confirmed in the quote.
How is payment split, and what do I receive before the balance?
Payment is by T/T or L/C, with a 30% deposit and the 70% balance paid before shipment. Main welds are ultrasonically tested at the factory, and the UT weld inspection report and photos are sent before the balance is due; third-party inspection is welcome. Shop drawings and the installation manual travel with the shipment.
Which design codes are the frames designed to, and who confirms the drawings?
Frames are designed to the code of the destination country, set with the project engineer and commonly AISC 360, EN 1993, AS 4100, AS/NZS 1170 or GB 50017. Construction drawings come from a Tekla 3D model that the buyer confirms before cutting. Confirm final structural, mechanical-electrical and civil design with the qualified local professional on your project.
Who builds the foundation and erects the frame on site?
The buyer’s local team designs and builds the foundation, and on-site erection is not in the quote. Column base reaction data for the foundation, an installation manual and free remote guidance are provided, and on-site installation guidance is an optional extra.
Which certifications does the manufacturer hold, and what is its production capacity?
The steel is manufactured by Qingdao Xinguangzheng Steel Structure Co., Ltd., certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau to CSA W47.1 Division 1, and holding EN 1090 (CE), EAC (GOST 23118-2019) and ISO 9001:2015 certification. Annual capacity is up to 150,000 tonnes of steel structures across four factories. Certificate copies are available on request.
