Steel Structure Fabrication Process: 3D Model Confirmation, Cutting, Welding, Coating, Inspection and Packing
Production for a fabrication order runs 15–40 days depending on tonnage, confirmed in your quote, and the whole project usually takes 4–12 weeks including consultation, 3D confirmation, prefabrication and local installation.
- 3D Modeling and ConfirmationTekla 3D modeling produces the shop drawings, and steel is cut only after the buyer confirms the 3D model.
- Cutting and DrillingPlates and sections are cut, beveled and drilled on laser, bevel-milling and platform-drill equipment.
- WeldingWelding robots join the steel, and the welding is covered by CWB · CSA W47.1 Div.1 from the Canadian Welding Bureau.
- Blasting and CoatingSteel is blasted to Sa2.5 and coated with epoxy zinc-rich primer on an automatic spray line, with hot-dip galvanizing as an option.
- InspectionMain welds are tested by ultrasonic testing (UT) and coating thickness is measured. The UT report and photos are sent before the final payment, and third-party inspection is welcome.
- Packing and ShipmentSteel is bundled on steel pallets with export packing and a container loading plan. Shipments leave Qingdao Port, about 1.5 hours from the factory, in 20′GP, 40′GP, 40′HQ or 40′OT containers or as bulk. Shop drawings, the installation manual and the UT report and photos go with the order, and sea transit time is confirmed in your quote by destination port.
Structural Steel Materials: Q355B H-Sections, Galvanized Purlins and Roll-Formed Panels
Structural steel materials for the main frame default to Q355B welded H-sections, with Q235B or Q460 available, and the grade for your project is confirmed in your quote. A single clear span is normally built up to 60 m with no interior columns, and spans up to 100 m are designed per project. We roll-form the roof and wall sheet and supply the sandwich-panel insulation core.

Steel Structure Surface Treatment: Sa2.5 Blasting, Zinc-Rich Primer and Optional Galvanizing
Steel structure surface treatment starts with Sa2.5 blasting and an epoxy zinc-rich primer, applied on an automatic spray line. Coating thickness is measured at the factory before the steel ships.

Which parts of a steel structure fabrication package does Xinguangzheng make itself?
Xinguangzheng manufactures the primary and secondary structure, roll-formed sheet in 11 profiles and lightweight wall panels. Doors, windows, cranes, insulation cores and skylights are supplied. The buyer designs and builds the foundation locally, and Xinguangzheng provides the column base reaction data.
Can the factories handle my tonnage and delivery date?

What inspection evidence ships with the steel?

Can a third party inspect before I pay the balance, and how is payment arranged?

Can the coating be changed to hot-dip galvanizing?
Hot-dip galvanizing is available as an option alongside the standard Sa2.5 blasting and epoxy zinc-rich primer. What is the minimum order, and which projects are not a good fit?
Projects start at 3,000 m². Smaller buildings are not a fit, nor are projects that need the supplier to build the foundation and erect the steel on site under a turnkey contract. For those, a local contractor is the simpler choice, because the kit is supplied without foundation or erection.

All products are controlled under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system, and welding is covered by CWB · CSA W47.1 Div.1.
